This is fucking straight up murder. The man wasnt threatening anybody, he had a big stick, which really isn't going to kill people, of even injure them. Cop could have continued to walk away, with the victim following him. He didn't deserve that ending to his life, mental illness makes people behave in appalling ways. But shooting him multiple times in the chest was far too much violence for the situation.
